Knot-Tying & Rope Work
by bam
A practical, hands-on trade course in knots, hitches, bends, whippings, and splices, the foundational rope skills behind rigging, sailing, climbing, and survival. Description-first (every knot is taught in words: what it is, how to tie it step by step, when to use it and when NOT to, and the common mistakes). Built on the public-domain classic by A. Hyatt Verrill (1917). This course pairs with the Sports/Media Broadcasting course: rope and rigging skill is core to broadcast "utility technician" roles (cable and rigging) and to the trades, sailing, climbing, and survival.
