Teachers of your school

Admin → Teachers (/admin/teachers) lists everyone who teaches or administers this school, and lets a school admin make someone a teacher.

A teacher of the school can create classes (under /cohorts) and write courses (under Teach), on this school only. Making someone a teacher here never changes their role on any other school.

  1. Ask the person to sign in to this school once, so they have an account.
  2. If the platform requires teachers to be adults (the default), they also tick "I am 18 or older" once; the Cohorts page offers it. An account that belongs to a student can't be made a teacher.
  3. On Admin → Teachers, enter their account email and press Make a teacher.

Remove teacher takes the role away. Classes they already teach stay theirs; they just can't create new classes or courses here. Admins are managed separately and can't be removed on this page.

Just one class? You don't have to make someone a teacher of the whole school. Create the class yourself, then on the class page add them as its teacher; they run that class and nothing else.
